I have only just created an account on Chess Microbase and I’m trying to see how well this works. Embedding this game I played on the FIDE online platform a few minutes ago. It was a satisfying win due to the tactical shot at the end, and also gave me a good opportunity to put all the things I learned so far from Logical Chess into play.
The important things I put into use was:
- In the opening, move each piece only once.
- Don’t move too many pawns.
I think the mistake I made was placing the dark bishop on f4, and I think that should not be played because of Nh5. After thinking about it a bit, and looking at some sequences from Chess365 I think the replacement should be that the bishop stays back, and pressure is applied on the d4 square with the light square bishop to c3, queen to e2, and maybe even the queen rook to e1 all with the potential to advance the d pawn and open the center to plan an attack on the king side.
That being said, mate in just 18 moves isn’t bad, even if it is against a much lower rated player.
